This is my very first Blog. I've read plenty of stuff on the internet, but I'm not sure that I've read a "Blog" before. I'm not sure how they work yet, but I guess I'll learn on the fly. One of my customers, Charles Lai, suggested that I try one.

In case you don't know me, my name is Lee Hester. I am the owner of Lee's Comics, Northern California's leading comic book retailer. We have locations in Mountain View, and San Mateo. Every Tuesday, I send out a email newsletter to my customers. In it, I talk about Comics, Pop Culture, and life in general. If you are interested in getting the Lee's Comics newsletter please go to my web page. There is a link there to join the email list. There is also further information about comic books and my stores.

Comic Book retail is a tiny industry, but paradoxically comics have never been larger in the culture. Some of the biggest movies of all time are based on comic book characters. We see a new comic book movie coming our nearly every month. Me, I'm a bit of a purist. I like comic books, and I like movies. Seldom do I love the combination. I think there is some essential element that is getting lost in translation to the big screen. What is your favorite comic book movie?

Here's a picture of me taken by a buddy at the Wonder Con in San Francisco two weeks ago.
