FREE COMIC BOOK DAY 2015 REPORT

Last Saturday’s Free Comic Book Day was our biggest ever! We had a long line of happy people at each store for the first few hours. We upped our quantities of free comics considerably, but we still ran out of many of them starting at 10:45, 45 minutes after opening. By Noon, around half the titles were gone. At the end of the day, all we had left were 2 titles: Boom Studios 10th anniversary, and DC Divergence. We started with over 3,000 comics in Mountain View, and ended up with 105.

As a special added attraction at our Mountain View store, the 501st Squadron Golden Gate Garrison joined us. Storm Troopers, Darth Vader and more were on hand. There were amazing photo opportunities to pose with the characters. They also had a backdrop that made you look like a Star Wars action figure when you stood in front of it. The 501st added a great deal of excitement to the event. Everybody loved them. We hope to have them back in the future.

And now, our annual Free Comic Book Day Photo Parade!
